*6/6, Saturday – Watched Terminator and Land of the Lost Saturday night after playing some ultimate in Central Park and eating a chicken and rice lunch from the Halal Guys that day. Terminator wasn’t as bad as Andrew said it was going to be. I guess he set our expectations low. It was action packed and appeased my visual senses. It had no tie in to the Sarah Connor Chronicles but it was a good movie on it’s own.

Land of the Lost, on the other hand, was a kill your brain cells type of movie. Right from the start, I just wanted it to end. I seriously hate stupid humor movies. I don’t get Will Ferrell Either. He’s not that funny. Really. I didn’t like the plot line. I didn’t like the characters. I didn’t like the action. I didn’t like the movie. Apparently its a remake of a 1974 film. I bet that old version was better. I thought initially this movie was going to tie in somehow to the TV series which I remember watching: Land of the Lost so I guess I was disappointed even more. =[ Don’t watch the movie.

MYX Birthday Week – Batman: The Dark Knight

Thursday, July 24th, 2008

*07/17/08, Thursday – Henry and I lined up for the midnight showing of the Dark Knight. We didn’t get IMAX as that was sold out long before. It was crazy as the line went all the way around the block! Fortunately, we got in before midnight (Henry’s Realty Robot coworkers were with us). Unfortunately, we got front seats. It was the 4th row and it turned out not as bad as I thought it would be. The movie turned out to be great. I can’t believe Heath Ledger was able to pull off such a greatly acted demented Joker character. It was a great performance and it so sad that he passed away and can’t see the results of his work. Great job Heath! Batman was great!

Movies – Hancock And Wall-E

Monday, July 14th, 2008

*07/11/08, Friday – Henry and I watched Hancock with his Realty Robot coworkers. I liked the movie even though there was some weird twist in it that threw people off. I enjoyed the action. Put enough great fighting and stuff blowing up in there with a good enough plot that makes sense and I usually enjoy the movie. Wall-E was a movie that Henry saw when I was in SF and he wanted to see again. Apparently it got great reviews so curiosity drove me to see a cutesy cgi film like this. It actually was pretty good. It had different layers of story to it which I liked. Not bad for a movie with barely any humans in it. =)
