*07/06/08, Sunday – Lunch with Family. Bright and early, I got ready to go and Foo drove me home to Del Paso (thanks, Foo!) I had lunch plans with my family and we ate at King Wah, my grandma’s favorite restaurant in Daly City. Our waiter’s name was Henry, which amused people. After a call with Henry asking for advice on what to eat, I asked for do miao which surprised the waiter because I guess not many non-Chinese would ask for it specifically (and I think I got the accent right since it was still fresh in my mind). It was fun having lunch with my family. They’re a great group to hang out with.

*07/06/08, Sunday – Hanging out with Cousins. After lunch, Ryan and my sister drove me to their place in San Mateo and we met up with Kevin, my cousin and his wife when they got back since they were temporarily staying over at my sister’s place for the weekend. They said my sister set up her place like a hotel. When they woke up, there was breakfast ready – some empanada from some European country and a pitcher of water with cucumber in it. We went to San Francisco so my sister could show off the roof of her SF condo and we walked around to Union Square and had some drinks (I got OJ, they got iced coffee). We went to the mall for a bit then headed back.

*07/06/08, Sunday – Dinner at Mandalay Burmese Restaurant with Mod, Foo, Angela and Jenny. Chris picked me up from my sister’s place. Foo and Jenny were in the car. We first went to a nearby chinese restaurant but after about half an hour we still didn’t get menus so we opted to just jet and get Angela in SF and eat around there. It turned out to be a pretty good idea as we got to try out interesting food in the Burmese Restaurant we ended up in. It was nice seeing Angela again. She happened to be there that weekend too. After dinner, mod dropped everyone off home.

*07/07/08, Monday – In the morning, my sister came over and dropped me off at the airport. Thanks sis! I had the day off of work so I could at least rest that time instead of working right away.
